Meet our OHSU Hillsboro Internal Medicine Residency Program team that trains and mentors our residents.
Program Director
Rand Ladkany, M.D.
Dr. Ladkany is a clinical hospitalist with a special interest in hospital medicine, clinical reasoning and medical education.
Associate Program Directors
Dr. Nakhleh is an internal medicine and geriatrics specialist with clinical interests in preventive care, dementia, medication management, depression and mental health illness that faces older adults.
Mengyu Zhou, M.D.
Dr. Zhou is a clinician-educator and hospitalist with special interest in clinical reasoning and experience in clinical informatics.
Meera Bhakta, D.O., M.P.H.
Dr. Meera Bhakta is a primary care physician and Clinician Educator whose academic interests center on medical education, curriculum development, and resident mentorship. She has played a key role in organizing and leading resident didactics, creating a Medical Education elective, and improving ambulatory evaluation processes. She is excited to continue contributing to resident education and innovation in ambulatory training as a member of the Core Faculty team.
Gwendolyn Derk, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Gwendolyn Derk is an internal medicine physician, researcher, and passionate medical educator. She is dedicated to advancing patient outcomes and medical knowledge through both clinical care and academic research. Her diverse clinical background includes significant experience with heart transplants, congenital heart disease, hemodialysis, and emergency medicine. Dr. Derk’s research has focused on community health, integrative medicine and hemodialysis, and reflects her commitment to bridging bedside care with evidence-based innovation. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, hiking and practicing Iyengar yoga.
Aline Gottlieb, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Gottlieb is an internist who specializes in caring for adults with a wide range of medical needs. A graduate of the Hillsboro Internal Medicine Residency Program herself, Dr. Gottlieb’s focus as a core faculty member is on resident scholarship.
Jiating Jiang, M.D.Dr. Jiang is a hospitalist and clinical associate in the Division of Hospital Medicine. His focus is in quality improvement and patient safety.
Pooja Kotadia, M.D.Dr. Kotadia is the Medical Director of the hospitalist service at Hillsboro Medical Center and has an interest in quality improvement and patient safety.
Giulia Leggett, M.D.
Dr. Guilia Leggett is an assistant professor in the OHSU Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. She is co-faculty advisor for the OHSU Human Rights Clinic and volunteers her time performing physical and psychological evaluations for asylum seekers.
Nada Mohamed, M.D.
Dr. Nada Mohamed is the medical director of Hillsboro Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit. She is board certified in critical care, internal medicine and pulmonary care. Her focus is in resident scholarship and critical care curriculum.
Lokesh Yadav, M.D.
Dr. Yadav is an assistant professor of medicine with a focus in point-of-care ultrasound and procedures.
