Nurse Fellowship Program
The Hillsboro Medical Center Nurse Fellowship Program is an accelerated learning experience designed for experienced nurses whose background is in a clinical area related to the specialty track.
The program strengthens advanced clinical knowledge and builds confidence in practice.
As a fellow, you will have the opportunity to:
- Build upon your existing clinical knowledge, assessment and procedural skills using nationally recognized curriculum.
- Collaborate with experienced nurses, interdisciplinary teams and clinical educators.
- Strengthen critical thinking, communication, teamwork and leadership abilities.
- Benefit from classroom, self-paced modules and hands-on learning experiences.
- Receive ongoing support and training to confidently transition into your new specialty.
Our program
Fellows participate in a standardized curriculum that includes intensive training in the classroom, simulations and precepted floor shifts.
Fellowship cohorts are offered throughout the year based on departmental and organizational needs.

- Labor & Delivery
Coming soon, we will offer fellowship cohorts in the following areas:
- Cardiac Cath Lab (Cath Lab)
- Emergency Department
Weekly training hours and program length per specialty

- Labor & Delivery – 36 hours/week for up to 12 weeks
Requirements for application
- Labor & Delivery – Nurses with one year of experience in inpatient postpartum and/or neonatal nursing
