About this class

Class size up to 12 couples

Join us online for two weeknight sessions led by a live instructor, designed to help you feel more prepared and confident for your baby’s birth.

Together, we’ll talk about:

  • What to expect as your body changes in late pregnancy
  • The signs and stages of labor and birth
  • Different ways to cope with labor, including comfort measures and pain medication
  • What happens if things don’t go as planned
  • How your body recovers after birth
  • Creating a birth plan and communicating your preferences
  • How your partner or support person can help during labor and birth

There will also be plenty of time to ask questions, talk through concerns, and learn what your options are.

Our goal is simple: to give you the information and tools you need to approach birth feeling informed, supported, and confident.

We recommend that this class is completed by your 36th week of pregnancy.

You will receive access to a prenatal education web app. You can instantly view videos and handouts by scanning QR codes with your phone. From there, you can sign in to the full companion app, which features an engaging video library from our Understanding Pregnancy 2nd Edition video program, plus practical tools like a prenatal appointment tracker and weight gain calculator.
