TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY
Laura believes a physical therapist should be a teacher, however that also means that the patient has to put in some effort to practice/learn the skills they are taught. Her goal is to work with the patient so that they understand their condition, and the types of tools they can use in order to manage current issues and prevent future occurrences as much as possible.
BIOGRAPHY
Laura was raised in Vernonia, Oregon, and has spent most of her life in the Pacific Northwest. She joined Hillsboro Medical Center in 2013. Laura’s clinical focus is in Outpatient Orthopedics with a primary focus on the correction of movement dysfunction to aid in full return to function. She also practices Women’s Health Physical Therapy, with an increased interest in management of urinary incontinence and prolapse, and care of the pregnant and postpartum patient. In Laura’s downtime you will find her working out, camping and hiking, and spending time with her family.
