TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

Claire strives to not only help people achieve their therapy goals, but to provide compassionate care and be one of their top cheerleaders during their recovery process. She believes in treating each person with a holistic outlook, acknowledging the variable factors that may be affecting the clients progress in therapy, and educating or directing them to appropriate resources, based on best evidence-based practice.

BIOGRAPHY

Claire joined the Hillsboro Medical Center team in 2017 after moving from Los Angeles to work in an outpatient clinic in Eastern Washington, all in pursuit of becoming a certified hand therapist. She treats orthopedic conditions of the upper extremity and utilizes soft tissue mobilization techniques (STM) such as myofascial release and instrument-assisted STM. She also is a Vodder trained certified lymphedema therapist, using manual lymph drainage to treat and help clients manage lymphedema in the neck, chest, abdomen, and extremities. Besides working, she enjoys discovering new hobbies, playing tennis, running, cooking, and spoiling her two cats.
