BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Taylor A. Buuck is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. He grew up in Hillsboro and earned his medical degree from OHSU before completing his orthopaedic surgery residency in Grand Rapids, Michigan. During his sports medicine fellowship at the University of Washington, he served as an assistant team physician for the UW Huskies and the Seattle Mariners.

Dr. Buuck cares for athletes of all ages, from high school football players to weekend pickleballers. His clinical focus includes ligament, meniscus, and cartilage injuries of the knee, as well as shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears and throwing injuries of the shoulder and elbow. He also provides general orthopaedic care, including treatment of broken bones and joint pain. He is eager to care for the Hillsboro community that raised him.

A former college baseball player, Dr. Buuck understands the frustration of being sidelined by an injury. He believes people build their identity not only around who they are, but what they do. By returning patients to the activities they love, he hopes to help them get back a part of themselves.

Away from work, Dr. Buuck is an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners, Green Bay Packers and hometown Portland Trail Blazers. He enjoys golf, digging razor clams at the Oregon coast and spending time with his wife, Nicky.
