BIOGRAPHY

Dr. J. Kim Thiringer is interim Chief Medical Officer at Hillsboro Medical Center.

Dr. Thiringer received his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and completed his otolaryngology residency at Wilford Hall Air Force Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

While in medical school, he was commissioned into the U.S. Navy, where he completed an internship at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He then earned his wings as a U.S. Navy flight surgeon at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, Florida.

He completed 25 years of military service and has been practicing as an otolaryngologist in the Hillsboro community since 2006. Prior to serving in his current role at Hillsboro Medical Center, he held positions as both the Chief of Surgical Clinical Services and as the Medical Director of Perioperative Services.

An Oregon native, he enjoys spending time with his family participating in the many seasonal activities that the Pacific Northwest offers.
