OHSU Health Hillsboro Medical Center is the only mobile mammography program in Oregon that brings 3-D mammography (digital breast tomosynthesis) to locations around the community.
Our program provides a fast and effective alternative for women to receive their regular mammograms. We offer:
- Advanced technology for detection of breast abnormalities and breast cancer.
- A coordinated team of technologists, radiologists and primary care providers.
- Exams performed in a private and safe setting.
- Convenient access to mammograms closer to home and work
What to expect when getting a mammogram
Checking in: You will be greeted and checked in by our mobile van coordinator. She will help you fill out the appropriate paperwork and escort you to the changing room.
Private room: Privacy is an important part of your care. We have individual rooms where you change into a gown. The rooms have direct access to the exam area.
Imaging experts: A female technologist will perform the screening while you are standing in front of the 3D mammogram device.
Results: The images are sent to our radiologists who read and compare the mammograms with prior images.
Locations in the community
Hillsboro Medical Center’s mammography van is available to groups, organizations or businesses with 10 or more mammogram-eligible people. We bring our service to communities in the region, including:
- Grand Ronde
- North Plains
Most insurance plans are accepted and you don’t have to be an OHSU Health patient to schedule an appointment.
