The Tuality/OHSU Cancer Center offers Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) therapy for adult patients with newly diagnosed or recurrent glioblastoma (GBM). This is a new treatment modality that is non-invasive, has few side effects and can be combined with other effective treatment strategies such as surgery, radiation therapy and systemic chemotherapy.

A New Hope for Brain Cancer Patients

Now Tuality/OHSU Cancer Center has a new tool to fight against glioblastoma, one of the most common and deadly forms of brain cancer. This new FDA-approved treatment called Optune delivers TTFields therapy instead of chemotherapy or radiation. Unlike other traditional treatments, Optune does not enter your bloodstream and has not been shown to affect cells in other parts of the body. Tuality/OHSU Cancer Center was the first cancer center in Oregon to treat patients with TTFields. This therapy has shown in large clinical trials to extend life for patients with GBM.
